Position: Court Clerk
Department: Legal
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and type legal documents, including court submissions, in English and Sinhala.
- Monitor and maintain records for ongoing court cases across District, Magistrate, High, and Superior Courts.
- Obtain certified copies and journal entries as needed.
- Maintain and update case files and office records.
- Perform searches at relevant court registries.
- Assist legal officers with litigation-related tasks, including filing plaints, petitions, appeals, motions, and summons.
- Organize court documents and briefs for counsel and manage counsel payments.
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum C passes in English and Mathematics at GCE O/Ls and completion of GCE A/Ls.
- 2-3 years of experience in court-related work is essential.
- Familiarity with Magistrate, District, Commercial High, High, Appeal, and Supreme Courts.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and Excel.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
